  I was with the Registered at Beccles Medical Center for 34 years. Never really thought much about it. I did not attend very often. My partner was due to have an injection ( treatment, not vaccination). At this time we were due to move house. We had hoped this would have happened prior to the move. Anyway my partner had not realised it would take us very slightly out of the catchment area. He mentioned he was moving and at this point he was told " you can't have the injection with us, you must register elsewhere". They refused to listen when he tried to explain the circumstances, the receptionist was very rude, not professional at all!!! Refused to even listen to what he had to say. What he wanted to explain was because his referral was sat in a doctors tray for over a week!!! He was off work at the time. They had caused the delay. He was in a lot of pain!!. To not even be listened to was very frustrating. Feeling very cross he left, only to get a call 30 minutes later saying " Hello Mr ......., we are just checking we are updated with your address". Just a general call!! The cheek!! In all those years I had never had such a call. No he didn't provide them his new, out of area address because he was simply told to register elsewhere.
  Due to th nature of my job I wanted to request to remain at the surgery. I didn't bother. We went to Halesworth and what a breath of fresh air. Never realised how bad the service was at Beccles. Yes not all staff are the same, there are some receptionists who are lovely but if I had treated a member of the public like that I would be dragged into the office!
